Overview
Our client is a leading health solutions and care delivery organization. We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the design, optimization, and governance of enterprise data systems. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Oracle-based data architecture, with a strong focus on performance tuning and the creation and maintenance of key data artifacts such as Entity Relationship (ER) models and other documentation essential for scalable, maintainable systems.
This role requires the ability to collaborate across teams, define best practices for data design, and support architectural decisions that align with business and technical goals. A background in Graph data structures and familiarity with .NET development are highly preferred, as they support ongoing and future system integrations.
This position requires on-site work at our client’s office in Chandler, Arizona, with potential travel of up to 50% based on project needs.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data architecture solutions using Oracle technologies.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of complex database systems.
- Develop and maintain data models and documentation, including ER diagrams, data dictionaries, and architecture artifacts.
- Define data governance standards and ensure adherence across teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application and integration needs.
- Provide strategic direction for data architecture and mentor team members on best practices
Requirements
- Proven experience architecting enterprise-scale solutions using Oracle databases.
- Experience working in large-scale, multi-system environments.
- Strong skills in performance tuning and optimizing Oracle systems.
- Exposure to modern integration patterns and data pipelines.
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining data artifacts, including ER models and schema documentation.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, normalization, and metadata management.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Graph data structures and modern Graph database technologies.
- Knowledge of caching and message queues
- Application development and how it interfaces with data layers.
